Edward Milbourn

If we've not met then here's a bit of background info (if you were interested).

After 20years of taking part in running/cycling/triathlon I feel confident describing myself as an ultra endurance athlete and coach. Not to say I'm better or faster than anyone else but I've accumulated a lot of experience and (I hope) wisdom.

On the athlete side I like a challenge that makes me ask; Could I ? or How would I ? which has led me into ultra distance running (several 24hrs races & up to & beyond 100mile events), triathlon (multiple IM finishes & 7th place at Brutal Double IM in 2016), long distance cycling (audax events including London-Edinburgh-London 1400km & Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km) and a great many trail & mountain events.

Aside from the challenge of events I really value the opportunity to get out in the fresh air, clear my head and just zone out in nature. Trail running, long or short does this for me and one of my main motivations for organising these runs.

On the coaching side I've been coaching triathlon for not quite as long as I've been competing and pre COVID was in the process of updating my Level 2 triathlon and get onto the England Athletics coaching pathway with LiRF (to organise just these sorts of runs). I try to keep all my musing on this on Instagram so you'll also find me there.
