About our group
Nonsuch Park Running Group has been ongoing since May 2011. We are a friendly, sociable, safe mixed ability group. We invite beginners and improvers, both male and female, to join us. Our 10 week Beginners course introduces basic running skills and aims to increase distance steadily each week up to 5K. Our Improvers regularly do local Parkruns and complete 2 or 3 10K races each year. Recently 3 of our runners completed a Half Marathon.
We encourage you to achieve your goals, whether simply keeping fit or taking part in events, and aim to show the terrific benefits to be had from running.
Our Tuesday morning sessions, which usually last about an hour, are varied, and use different locations in and around the park. A modest fee is payable for each session, which can be paid online or with cash on the day. We also run an Improvers session on Thursday mornings which starts at various locations in the borough and where distance run is from 5 to 6 miles.
Our leader, Tom, is a qualified UKA Coach, having been a running club member for many years.
