Jacqueline Knowles

I didn't start running until I was 37, after having my first child and then signing up to a beginners learn to run 12 week course.  3 years after that I was training for my 2nd London Marathon when I met Debbie. I suggested we might do the first level coaching course once we had finished our marathon training. This resulted in us starting our very successful beginner's course in 2012. In the same year we started Rochford Running Club with these new runners. Since then with the committee and coaches we have created a club to be very proud of.

My personal journey has seen me become a leader in running fitness then qualifying as a running coach. I have completed 5 marathons and numerous races. Most importantly for myself and my children, running keeps me fit and healthy. I love all aspects of the club from mentoring our new runners through to creating individual marathon plans for experienced runners.
