Tony Cope

I never planned to be a runner. Running spoilt a good walk. Running was something other people did. I'd tried Couch to 5k, several times, and decided it just wasn't for me. But I gave it one more try, this was at the beginning of 2020. Then lockdown hit, and what had been something I'd struggled to do, became my lifeline. Living, working, home-schooling, all in the same four walls, the times I could get outside to run became my salvation. And I got the bug. My son has always been a keen runner, and post lockdown, I got a lot of support from people he knew through Parkrun and his Athletics Club. Now its my turn to pay that forward. I'm no expert, but any help and assistance I can give through this group, I gladly do.
