Welcome to RunTogether Canterbury
About our group
RunTogether Canterbury is a city-based group of runners, emerging runners and walkers. We started as a few running friends back in the lockdown of 2020 and are establishing ourselves to become a great social running and walking group.
Running and walking are widely agreed to be both physically and mentally beneficial; throw in a bunch of like-minded and friendly people and you have the perfect combination of healthy hobby, improved fitness, improved mental health and friendship.
We offer supportive and inclusive running and walking opportunities for everyone. Whatever your reason for getting out there, whether it's to improve your fitness, fight depression or achieve personal goals, we invite you to join us.
With regard to our runs we welcome runners of all abilities, however, we would suggest our current runs are most suited to those already comfortable running continuously for 30 minutes or more. These are social runs, we run at a chatting pace and no one gets left behind.
If you aren't 30-minute fit yet then we recommend our Couch to 5k programme which runs every January through to March and joining our Wanderers Walking group to build up your fitness and meet some group members.
If you don't want to wait until January and are keen to get running, in 9 weeks you can follow the One You Couch to 5k programme and reach a fitness level to be able to join our runs.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions not already answered on our FAQ page.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
