My running journey began with a few friends and I tried running on my own, but I found I got too distracted and gave up easily.
Then my sister said her school friend was starting a running group and we should go. I found running with others really helpful and I have learnt so much from my running family. Their support through all distances and weathers has been incredibly important to me! The friend was Natalie and the group was TRF and I have not looked back since!
I used to be one of those people who looked at people running in the dark, wet and cold and think what are they doing? But having found such a supportive group I now understand why. Running has not only helped me to physically get fitter but also takes the stresses of life away! So what ever your reason for running come give it a try it might surprise you!
