Safety & forms

Safety - ok this is important, but brief I promise. Please have a read through before you attend a run session.

Guidelines for safe running in small groups:

  • Please don’t wear headphones, you need to be able to hear instructions and listen out for traffic or other runners.
  • Come fed and watered, energy gets you round.
  • Bring a bottle! (water or isotonic beverage of your choice)
  • Choose the right kit for the weather. Once you are moving you will get warm, so wear layers appropriate for the season. Gloves, hats, sunglasses, gilets or jackets you can tie at the waist.
  • Check your kit before you leave, have you got the right kit for the weather and have you double knotted that extra long lace?
  • If you need to stop mid stride raise your hand to let the person behind you know you are slowing and stopping.
  • If you feel any sudden pain or twinge, stop and let the run leader know.
  • Complete your PARQ and declaration form in advance of your first session. Any questions please give me a call.
  • Lastly, go at your own pace and have fun!

*Runleaders will carry a first aid kit, spare snacks and a phone in case of emergencies. Please ensure you complete your emergency contact information as part of your registration to enable me to best support you.
