About our group
Enjoyrunning.net provides several running-related exercise sessions in the Solihull area.
These are:
- strength & mobility sessions designed to meet the needs of adult endurance walkers and runners in person at Dorridge Methodist Church (Tuesdays 18:30), and on line (Friday mornings 07:30)
- 'keep me going' sessions for adults who can run for 20 min minimum and walk/run for 30 minimum non-stop and now want to build their running skills and capability (Thursdays, 19:00)
- a number of 1:1 and on demand services (Hatha Yoga, Personal Training, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition Coaching, Stress Management). Please email scottercoach@gmail.com for details.
Running sessions are provided in the Hillfield area of Solihull on quiet roads and green spaces. Some sessions include technical drills and mobility and body-weight strength exercises that help improve general fitness and wellbeing and improve running.
Anyone who wishes to book onto any session must complete a brief exercise readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q) which assesses fitness and suitability for exercise. It should be completed and returned at least 48 hours before your first session. This is now mandatory for all, not just those aged 65years or over, with pre-existing health conditions or taking medication regularly. It must be completed or it may not be possible to admit you to any session. Should your health circumstances change, you must inform me as soon as you can. By booking onto a session you are confirming that you are voluntarily engaging in an acceptable level of exercise for you, and that you understand participation involves a risk of injury.
