CHORLEY RUNNERS - 21st July UPDATE
Coaching Sessions will be restarting in August.
#MyRunMyPace #StaySafe #KeepRunning
Chorley Runners Coaching is run as a separate Athletics/Running coaching group to work alongside the general Chorley Runners run sessions.
The aim of the Coaching group is to work with runners who want to improve their running.. This group will be used to advertise specific coaching sessions and not general run sessions that are all advertised on the Chorley Runners RunTogether website.
New warm-up and cool-down exercises are introduced to help minimise injury, as well as varied routes, are used to introduce hill running and interval training exercises.
The sessions will be focussing on coaching specific elements of running from endurance work, coordination, balance and agility, running style and helping improve your overall running efficiency.
The coaching group will also be offering 1:1 and 1:2 running assessment sessions. These sessions will focus on the individual's objectives and identify areas of improvement. These sessions will be available for 2-time credits per person and are available by appointment.
The group will also help run a 5-10k course three times a year to help runners extend their running up to 10 km. These sessions will be advertised on the Chorley Runners website. We also plan to run longer distances once everyone has achieved and is comfortable running 10 km.
The group has fully qualified UK Athletics coaches who hold UKA Event Group Endurance Coach, Coach in Running Fitness (CIRF) and Leader in Running Fitness(LIRF) licences. They are DBS checked, fully insured and First aid and defibrillator trained. The group also has licensed Guide Runners.
