Our group runs

Run sessions - daytime and term time only. 

All routes have been tested by me personally and risk assessments completed. Local village routes on quiet roads in and around Ayton. 

Sessions are divided up by ability:

  1. Jump-starters- Social, ease in sessions for beginners or those coming back to running after a long break.
  2. Milers - Mid level Improver sessions for those who can manage a 3k without stopping and have run 5k. 
  3. Trailblazers - Runs for race fanatics aiming for 10k plus or increasing mileage, speed and running ability. Varied routes and minimum 5k distance continuous running.

 JumpStartBeginners:

  • Route: Short, circular.
  • Time: 45 minutes 
  • Area: Quiet, grassy sports field or wide village roads.  Village locations. 
  • Level: Beginner - easy pace, not continuous running. 
  • Content:  A gentle session, easy warm up and cool down routines, fun exercises and practice pace to get you started or back in the game. Focus on getting a rhythm, breathing, basic technique and getting to know the group. 
  • Parking: Free

Milers - Improvers:

  • Route: short circular, out and back. 
  • Time: 45 minutes
  • Area: Quiet country lanes, wide roads and verges. 
  • Level: Jog / run comfortably to 3k at own pace without stopping. 
  • Content: Easy runs, jog and run longer stretches. Exercises for strength and technique. Fun games, warm ups and cool downs. Technique improvement and goal discussion if required. 
  • Parking: Free

Trailblazers - Race fanatics:

  • Route: 5k plus distance. Out and back, circular and hills.
  • Time: 60 minutes 
  • Area: Quiet village routes, wide roads and undulating terrain. 
  • Level: Confident  5k plus regular runner, 10k achieved. Steady pace without stopping.
  • Content: Pace, rhythm, posture, stride technique. Strength and speed exercises. Stretching, warm ups, cool downs. Fun games and exercises. Race discussions and end of session challenges. 
  • Parking: Free 

All groups are run in 5 or 6 week session blocks and need to be pre-booked online. You can click through this site to find the session details that best suit your stage of your running journey.  

Normal session fees are £3.50 for Jumpstarters, £5 Milers and £7 for Trailblazers. 1:1 lessons are available at £16 per half hour & includes a personal consultation, goal setting & tracking, tailored training, fuelling advice & support.  Please contact me on JumpStart.now@zoho.com for more information.

Pay as you go for run sessions. 1:1's pay in advance for a block booking. Fees cover costs for insurance, training and equipment used in the sessions. You can pay in cash or via Paypal.me if you prefer to pay online.
