HLB Runners - Couch 2 5K
This is designed to be a gentle introduction to getting the body moving, starting off alternating between walking and running small distances, and slowly building up until after 10 weeks, you're ready to run 5 kilometers or 35 - 40 minutes non stop.
HLB Runners - Step up Group/mixed paced 5K (some hills!)
These sessions are for those graduating from the C25K or runners capable of completing a 5k in around 30 - 40mins, we run from the Brache through the village and around the 'Water End Loop' with the infamous 'Badger Hill' thrown in for good measure. We also run different routes depending on the time of year.
HLBRunners - Jeffing session
These sessions are for those people graduating from the C25K, people returning to running after an injury or those runners capable of completing a 5k but wanting to do it at an easier pace or combining it with the step-up session to run for a greater distance. We 'Jeff' Run/walk at a ratio of 60:30
A bit about me!
I started running in Jan' 2017 and completed my first-ever Half Marathon in Sept '17. I set up HLB Runners after completing my Run Leader training in 2018. I now regularly run with HLB Runners, and Wixams Run Club, I also attend Parkrun on Saturday mornings when I can.
This group is open to everyone and we welcome all abilities, I am a fully qualified BSL Interpreter and all courses are fully accessible to Deaf/HoH.
