HLB Runners - Couch 2 5K
This is designed to be a gentle introduction to getting the body moving, starting off alternating between walking and running small distances, and slowly building up until after 10 weeks, you're ready to run 5 kilometers or 30 - 35 minutes non stop.
HLB Runners - Step up Group/mixed paced 5K (some hills!)
This session is for those graduating from the C25K or runners capable of completing a 5k in around 35-40mins, we run from the Brache through the village and around the 'Water End Loop' with the infamous 'Badger Hill' thrown in for good measure.
HLBRunners - Jeffing session
This session is for those people graduating from the C25K, people returning to running after an injury or those runners capable of completing a 5k but wanting to do it at an easier pace or combining it with the step up session to run for a greater distance. We 'Jeff' Run/walk at a ratio of 60:30
HLB Run Riot
Come and join HLB Runners and Run Riot! Our new club is aimed at 12-16 year olds who want to have fun whilst getting active. This new club will be run by England Athletics LiRF Run Leaders and will include a warm up session, games, build up to a 3k run and a cool down. If you have children under 11 who would like to get involved please talk to us about joining as a family.
A bit about me!
I started running in Jan 2017 and completed my first ever Half Marathon in Sept '17, I now regulary run with HLB Runners, Bedford Run Club and also attend Parkrun on Saturday mornings with my daughter Skye (Hubby Bob and super speedy son Will come along when they can!).
This group is open to everyone and we welcomes all abilities, I am a fully qualified BSL Interpreter and all courses are fully accessible to Deaf/HoH.
