Welcome to Medway Fit

Next run: Tuesday 23 April 2024

About our group

Since it began, Medway Fit has partnered with national and local organisations to deliver excellent training opportunities for local people with trained and qualified run leaders and coaches with UK Athletics qualifications from level 1 to level 4 mostly at zero cost to the end user - It's our core belief that running should be fun, free, friendly and accessible for all the family regardless of gender, age, experience or ability!

We regularly run an 9 week long beginners 'Couch to 5km' class, family friendly training sessions and more specific technical training and run based sessions for experienced runners that takes place in various venues, open spaces, trails and road routes throughout Medway and beyond.

We are a social fitness group that participates in lots of organised events throughout the year.  We love meeting together for fun and friendship and we love meeting new people and encouraging others on regardless of who they might already train with.

We actively try to partner with other local groups in the Medway area and enjoy lots of friendly banter and rivalry with many of our friends from other clubs and organisations!

We are self governed and not beholden to any external influences and as such are able to operate without any need for funding except for training new group leaders and coaches who are at present all funded in partnership with grants from local sporting agencies and non-obligatory donations gathered through semi-regular fundraising events - We also have low level admin costs (website hosting) which are mostly remunerated through sales of club kit and merchandise.

We think Medway Fit is a great place to be, a great place to belong and a great place to begin an exciting new fitness adventure and we hope you'll accept our open invitation to come along and train with us sometime soon!
